The human ego is defended to the discovery of the divine self because it needs to own the illusion of control and flow of thoughts, emotions and body sensations. The human ego is relative and cannot experience concepts beyond its own history. Self realization is a process of teaching the human ego to become part of the divine self rather than place the divine self within the limits and boundaries of the human ego. Living beyond the defended ego requires consciousness and compassionate love for the ego parts.
